Intern at Kelley Cawthorne

Interested in Public Policy?

Public policy is a process, not an event. Our interns get hands-on experience in “the process.” They do research and writing, attend committee meetings, and participate in firm events. Most importantly, they interact with clients and public officials. The lessons—and the connections—last a lifetime.

Our intern alumni have gone on to careers in the Michigan Legislature, Congress, trade associations, and major corporations.

Earn credits. Make connections. Have fun. Fill out the application below to start your journey in “the process.” There’s no limit to where it can take you.

Legislative internships run from January to May and September to December. All-day availability on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday is preferred. Political campaign internships run from June to August during election years and offer more flexible scheduling.
